 In Octobre 2012, the Loi sur le patrimoine culturel will replace the current law on cultural property.
This new law introduces the concepts of heritage and cultural landscape and intangible heritage.

The Conseil montérégien de la culture et des communications and its partners, the CRÉ and the Forum jeunesse Vallée-du-Haut-Saint-Laurent, and the Ministère de la Culture, des Communications et de la Condition féminine, officially launched the Guide pratique de soutien à la carrière artistique à l'intention de la relève de la Vallée-du-Haut-Saint-Laurent (A Practical Carreer Guide for Young Artists of the Vallée-du-Haut-Saint-Laurent) on March 18, 2012. A faboulous guide, filled with information to help young people to begin their artistic career.
